When you buy this deal from Pure Energy Fitness, you can experience an empowering and therapeutic exercise in five reformer Pilates classes for just $35. The reformer machine uses the principles of Pilates to their maximum potential, but does require specific training to avoid risk of injury. The class size limit is three individuals in order to allow the instructor to give full attention to each individual.
Pilates focuses on:
• Postural symmetry
• Breathing control
• Muscular flexibility
• Abdominal strength
• Spine, pelvis and shoulder stabilization
• Joint mobility and strengthening
The Pilates reformer machine is fairly symbolic of the type of exercises it spawns. There's no sign of shiny metal on this machine, only soft but firm, natural wood and pulleys that offer resistance but not strain. The Pilates Method was developed to strengthen the balance that is inherent in the body and use muscles they way there were meant to be used without straining them and risking injury, which is why it is also used in physical therapy. Pure Energy Fitness Pilates instructor Ozlem Akdogan discovered Pilates for the first time herself when she was in rehabilitation therapy for a sports injury. As a passionate athlete herself, it was there that she realized her desire to help others enjoy their active lives through Pilates.
