Be careful not to expect experimental dinner items from this contemporary Western environment. India Tavern serves up some of the most traditional and authentic dishes in Denver, and their homestyle cooking reflects the culture and tastes of India.
Tantalize your taste buds with some of their menu items:
Lamb Samosa
A crisp, flaky turnover stuffed with potato and spiced ground lamb.
Tandoori Prawns
Lightly seasoned, slow-broiled king prawns dunked in tandoor sauce.
Paneer makhani
Homemade cheese cooked in a mix of onions, tomatoes, butter and cream.
Phaal Chicken
Mouth-scorchingly hot chicken. Nothing else on the menu comes with a "spicy" warning. Phaal is so hot you may not be able to taste anything after your meal, but if you finish your serving of this fiery curry, you'll get a free beer.
Because everyone else in Denver thinks so highly of India Tavern, they've earned our 5 Star Badge.
Mmmmm... So tasty. And hospitable.. This place is so delicious. My girlfriend and I go there all the time, and the owner as well as the employees have all taken time to get to know us. They treat us so well, and always have. Even the first time we went in, they were very hospitable and left us with a good coupon for our next visit. We enjoy exploring the menu and figuring out our favorite dishes there. If you ask the waiters what their favorite dishes are, they'll pretty much list them all, because they're all so good.

We came here for dinner and the food exceeded our expectations. Our entrees were the fish tikka masala and the Goa fish curry. Wow, both our dishes were so good and service was excellent. We have tried a dozen Indian restaurants in Denver and many other Indian ones around the country. This one goes into our top five.

We had the lamb tikka masala and the lamb chops with some garlic nan!! this was the best dining experience at an indian restaurant i have ever had! the lamb chops were very tender and juicy and the tikka masala sauce was exquisite!!! proabably the best tikka masala i have had! the lamb in the tikka masala was also delicious and a very generous portion!
